Miami Heat rookie Precious Achiuwa posted a double-double in a 117-105 preseason win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
The 21-year-old forward, selected as the 20th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, appears to have put himself in position to come in as the replacement for Jae Crowder at the 4, registering 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 assists in 23 minutes of action all while looking very comfortable out on the floor.
Kezie Okpala and Max Strus also impressed for the Heat, logging 24 and 22 points, respectively, with Strus vying for a roster spot ahead of the upcoming season.
Miami tips their campaign off against the Orlando Magic next Wednesday and will follow that up New Orleans Pelicans in a Christmas Day showdown.
