Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz have another five days to agree on a contract extension, as the deadline expires on December 21.
Gobert and the Jazz have not reached an agreement yet, however the discussions remain ongoing.
Gobert is eligible for a supermax contract extension (35% of Utah’s salary cap), yet the team offered him the normal max extension (30% of the squad’s salary cap).
The French center rejected the offer and the two sides are working on finding a solution in order to close the deal.
If Gobert and the Jazz don’t agree to terms on the supermax contract extension, they can negotiate a new deal at any point during the 2020/21 season.
