Utah Jazz signed JP Gibson to a 1-day contract this week. He played in the intersquad scrimmage on Monday and that was it. There’s more to it than that though.

JAZZ SIGN 5-YEAR-OLD TO ONE-DAY CONTRACT

Gibson is only 5-years-old and is a hoop fanatic, and on Monday he got to play in the Utah Jazz intersquad scrimmage.

Via ESPN:

“JP loves most sports, but basketball is definitely his favorite,” Megan Gibson said in a statement released by the Jazz. “When he was just over a year old, he would sit with my husband, Josh, watching games. He started insisting on shooting hoops for an hour each night before bedtime when he was just 15 months old. He knows he has to be 6 before he can play Junior Jazz, and he reminds us all the time that he can’t wait until he’s 6.”

ATLANTA HAWKS REVEAL NEW COURT

Atlanta Hawks have decided to undergo a change ahead of the new season by unveiling a new basketball court for the new NBA season.

BLU WILL NOT COME OUT OF RETIREMENT

Former Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv player David Blu has apparently refused an offer to come back to the team, according to Israeli journalist David Pick.

Blu ended his career in June and is currently in New York.
