The Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin shared his impression on the team’s rookie Killian Hayes. According to Griffin, the 7th overall pick of this year’s NBA Draft looks great. Unlike most rookies, Hayes, 19, has been a pro since 2017.
“I think he looks great. Everybody always does this whole thing with preseason where if a guy doesn’t shoot well – especially young guys (then they’re a bust). This is their first crack at NBA basketball,” Griffin said, per Rod Beard.
Hayes, who is projected to be Detroit’s main point guard ahead of Derrick Rose, finished his first two preseason games against the Knicks averaging 5.5 points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
