Despite not scoring in his preseason debut for the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball’s passing and rebounding skills were on full display.

“He can’t shoot, but not many see the game like he does,” a league executive told Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Ball went scoreless on 0-of-5 shooting, but recorded 10 rebounds and made a few dazzling passes.

If the preseason game was any indication, the Hornets plan to bring Ball off the bench behind guards Devonte’ Graham and Terry Rozier.

Once Ball finds a consistent jump shot, he will have the potential to turn into a real threat on offense, but it won’t happen overnight.
