Victor Claver will be sidelined for the next eight to 10 weeks, Barcelona announced on Twitter.
Claver is dealing with a foot injurty (plantar fascia) and underwent surgery on Friday.
He is expected to return to action for Barcelona in mid or late February.
Barcelona is also expected to part ways with Thomas Heurtel in the coming days.
