Theo Maledon saw his draft stock dropping a few months prior to the 2020 NBA Draft. As a result, he ended up all the way to the second round, where the Thunder picked him with the 34th pick.

In preseason debut, the prospect from France turned some heads with his performance helping the Thunder get a 121-108 win over San Antonio.

In particular, Maledon had 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists in 29 minutes for his unofficial debut shooting 50 percent from the field. He started by scoring 11 points in his first 11 minutes in the NBA.

Furthermore, the Thunder’s other prized rookie, Aleksej Pokusevski, turned in 14 points and eight rebounds, connecting on three huge three-pointers down the stretch.

The Thunder will play their next preseason game on Dec.17 against the Chicago Bulls.
