As the NBA preseason sets to tip-off, the Philadelphia 76ers rank as the most likely destination for Houston Rockets’ James Harden, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
This is “when the Rockets eventually reach the point of trading James Harden.”
The Rockets have insisted (for now) that they won’t trade Harden and the 76ers have insisted (for now) that they won’t trade Ben Simmons.
The familiarity between the two front offices can “ultimately defuse any lingering tension from Daryl Morey’s departure from Houston to Philadelphia,” Stein notes.
Along with the 76ers, the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks have also been previously mentioned as possible landing spots for Harden.
