New Chicago Bulls guard Garrett Temple is still not practicing with the team after testing positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 28.
On Dec. 6, Temple said that he was nine days into his mandatory 12-day quarantine period.
Temple still needs “several” negative tests and cardiovascular screening tests before he returns to action, notes Cody Westerlund of 670TheScore.com.
Temple, 34, thinks that he was exposed to the virus while spending time with his family in Louisiana for Thanksgiving.
“We have to be smart about who we’re around, [and] about wearing a face mask wherever,” Temple recently said, via The Chicago Tribune. “I feel like if I had a face mask on during the time with my family, I definitely would have mitigated the risk of getting it.”
Temple, who averaged 10.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season with the Brooklyn Nets, his 10th year in the NBA, signed a one-year, $4.7 million deal with the Bulls in free agency last month.
