Baskonia dominated defensively against Anadolu Efes and won with a score of 59-77 at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall.

After twelve rounds, both teams have identical records (6-5), and each team one game less. Anadolu Efes will host ASVEL on the 8th of December (Round 5), while Baskonia plays a game from the fifth round against ALBA Berlin on the 5th of January in Germany.

Efes was only better in the first quarter (20-17), but Baskonia tightened up its defense after that, especially in the second half. The Spanish squad allowed Efes to score only 13 points in the third and nine in the fourth part of the game. Baskonia grabbed 44 rebounds against Efes’ 30.

An interesting fact is that Baskonia won all five games where Alec Peters scored 15 or more points, and he was unstoppable against his former squad. He finished the game with 18 points (4/7 for two-point, 3/7 for three-point, and 1/1 from the free-throw line). Peters added seven rebounds, three assists, and a block for a PIR of 20.

Besides Peters, three more players had more than 10 points. Both Achille Polonara and Youssoupha Fall scored 12 points, while Pierria Henry had one point less than these two.

On the other side, in Ergin Ataman‘s squad, no one made it to the double-digit score. The best scorer was Shane Larkin with eight points. The one with the best PIR (9) was Chris Singleton who ended the match with five points.
