The Los Angeles Lakers played their last game that secured them their seventeenth NBA championship less than two months ago. But there won’t be much time to recover for the Lakers as the new season begins already on December 22.

One of the issues that head coach Frank Vogel and his coaching staff have to deal with is getting his players, including superstar LeBron James, enough time to get back into the rhythm. This is what preseason is for.

But considering the circumstances, Vogel does not expect LeBron to play much in preseason. However, he says the four-time NBA champion would get some playing time.

“We don’t want to underdo it, and then he’s not ready to play in real games. We don’t want to overdo it (either). I expect we’ll probably see him some, but not a ton. Enough for him to get ready for opening night,” Vogel said per Mike Trudell.
