According to Adrian Wojnarowski, prospect basketball player from Lithuania, Deividas Sirvydis, is joining the Detroit Pistons on a three-year deal:

NBA news reviewer John Hollinger took to Twitter to express his doubts about the Pistons’ decision to sign the 20-year-old Sirvydis:

“This has to be a joke. Was overmatched in Lithuanian League last year. Scored 1 point in two Israeli domestic league games this season,” Hollinger wrote on Twitter.

According to the latest reports on the details of the deal, the third season of the contract with the Pistons has no financial guarantees – the team will have the opportunity not to extend the cooperation with Sirvydis after two years without reimbursing the amount for the last season.

Hollinger has criticized the player for not showing a competitive game in his domestic league last year despite being labeled as big hope in the native country and an awful start in the Israel basketball league.

It is reported and expected that Sirvydis, who is moving from Jerusalem’s Hapoel to Detroit, will spend a lot of time in the G-League with the Grand Rapids Drive.
