“I feel like I left with something that was unfinished, I would say, and I feel like I have a chance now to really prove myself again, prove I can help the team to get to the playoffs,” Rubio said on a video conference call Tuesday.

After a great season in Phoenix, the Suns shipped Rubio to Oklahoma City to acquire Chris Paul. Two days later, the rebuilding OKC sent the Spaniard back to Minnesota.

Rubio spent his first six NBA seasons of his career with the Wolves and he is more than happy for his return, as he admitted in the conference call.

“I’m a different player than when I came here and when I left. I have a lot more experience, especially in the NBA. I grew up as a player and as a person, too, and I feel like it’s a good time.”

Alongside veteran Ed Davis, the 30-years old point guard will be the most experienced player in Minnesota’s young squad.

During a similar situation in Phoenix last season, Rubio put up a career-best 13.1 points along with 8.9 assists per contest.
