Steve Nash opened up about the plan of the Brooklyn Nets regarding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Nash believes it is not possible both superstars will play the entire regular season (72 games).

“Its probably unlikely they both play 72 games. Its such a layoff for both of them, (especially) Kevin…We have to be very careful with him and his adaptation process back into the game.

Perhaps we have to protect him from himself,” the head coach of the Nets told reporters, via Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Durant returns after missing the entire 2019/20 season, due to an Achilles injury. For his part, Irving missed the majority of last season due to injuries as well.
