The Houston Rockets certainly received a huge amount of interest for James Harden, after he requested a trade to a contending team.
Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium said on the Load Management podcast that the Warriors were among the teams to reach out to the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors were expected to return to title contention this season, after finishing with the NBA worst record in the 2019/20 campaign.
However, they will need a huge boost to compete in the Western Conference this season, especially after Klay Thompson’s serious injury, which will keep him out for the season.
Harden could provide that boost, however the Rockets practice patience, as they still believe in the current squad core. The Brooklyn Nets are known to be Harden’s preferred destination.
