The Milwaukee Bucks revealed their new City Edition jerseys inspired by the ‘three rivers that run through Milwaukee, as well as the depths of Lake Michigan.’

The Bucks are using the team’s Great Lakes Blue color as the primary feature in a jersey for the first time, since the franchise inserted the color to its palette in 2015.

As the team describes the jersey in its official press release:

“The uniform symbolizes both Milwaukee’s and the Bucks’ role in bringing people together, which is noted by the phrase “Gathering Place” on the bottom of the jersey.

The numbers on the jersey are treated with a special coating that will reflect the light in a way that gives the illusion that the numbers themselves are wet. The center of the shorts also features the water outlines from the Bucks’ state logo, showcasing the major bodies of water that bring Wisconsin together.”

The season starts in 21 days and the Bucks are about to enter a crucial season for the history of the franchise, as Giannis Antetokounmpo is entering the last year of his $100M extension he signed back in 2016.

Milwaukee is set to play its first preseason game on Dec.12 against the Dallas Mavericks, while the season is set to start December 22.
