In the two games in Finland, Serbia lost against Switzerland (92-90) on Saturday and won against the host team (75-66) on Monday.

Now, after four rounds in the qualifications for EuroBasket 2022, the first team in Group E is Georgia (all four victories), the second is Serbia with two wins and two defeats. Both Switzerland and Finland had each one victory.

Besides Georgia, who qualified for the EuroBasket as one of the hosts, two more teams from this group will be participating in the European championship.

After the tough defeat against Switzerland, Igor Kokoškov’s squad was playing much better against Finland. In the first game, fans were able to see individual actions and leaks of communication in defense. But in Monday’s game, it was like a totally different team of Serbia.

Before both games, the coach (Kokoškov) and the captain of the team (Aleksa Avramović) emphasized that there were a lot of new faces in the squad and that lot of players were facing each other for the first time. Also, both Finland and Switzerland have players who are playing together for a long time. They have the same rosters in qualifications and in other competitions.

But, in the end, no matter who is playing for the team, the thing that counts is qualifying for the championship. And Serbia still has chances to do that.

In the match against Finland, the best scorer was Danilo Anđušić with 19 points. Aleksa Avramović added 17 and Dragan Apić had 12.
