Gerald Green has agreed to a one-year, nonguaranteed deal for the veteran’s minimum with the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

Green, who is a Houston native, will try to make the team during camp after missing last season due to a broken foot.

The 34-year-old suffered the broken foot on Oct. 10, 2019 during a preseason game before the 2019-2020 NBA season.

In his last full NBA season (2018-2019), Green averaged 9.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 73 games as a key rotation player for the Rockets.

Green recently said that he hoped to re-sign with the Rockets.

“Everybody knows how much I feel about this city and what this city feels for me,” he said via Mark Berman of KRIV. “For me, if I come back again…I’m gonna have the same feeling I did when I came back in 2017.”
