TJ Leaf plans to compete for the Israeli national team in the EuroBasket 2022, per Roi Cohen. The versatile big is able to participate as an Israeli and not as a naturalized player.

Israel is a single win from qualifying for the EuroBasket, which could be achieved Monday when Israel again plays Poland.

TJ Leaf -born in Tel Aviv- spent a good portion of his life in Israel as his father Brad Leaf -also a basketball player- played for 17 seasons in the country’s national league.

The versatile big was the 18th pick of the 2017 Draft, selected by the Pacers. Not long ago, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, along with a second-round pick, after spending three seasons in Indiana.

Last season, Leaf had a limited role with the Pacers, as he appeared in 28 games. He has 139 games under his belt during his NBA career averaging 3.3 points on 49.1% from the field.
