Harry Giles joined the Portland Trail Blazers, after spending his first three years in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings. Considered a top-recruit in the 2017 class, the 22-year-old suffered many injury setbacks until his NBA debut.
In a conversation with The Athletic’s Jason Quick, Giles revealed he would become a dentist, if he did not follow a basketball career.
(via SBNation):
“I’d be a dentist. Ever since I was young, I enjoy seeing people smile. And I like good, clean teeth as well. I guess it all goes together.”
Harry Giles was the 20th pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, a pick originally owned by his current team, which was traded to Sacramento.
Last season, he averaged 6.9 points 4.1 rebounds per game. He is coming to Portland as a backup big alongside Enes Kanter and Zach Collins.
