Marco Belinelli will continue his career in Italy, as the veteran guard signed a three-year deal with Virtus Bologna. The Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport first reported Belinelli’s agreement with Virtus Bologna, indicating that the sharpshooter didn’t receive any offers he liked from NBA teams.

Belinelli spent 13 years in the NBA playing for nine different teams. He was the 18th overall pick in the 2007 Draft. After agreeing to terms with Virtus, the former Spurs’ guard will join the team he started his career with.

The 34-year-old accepted a reduced role for San Antonio in 2019/20, averaging 6.3 PPG on 37.6% from beyond the arc shooting in 57 games.

He only registered a career-low 15.5 minutes per contest in the previous season with the Spurs. In his nine NBA seasons, Belinelli played for Philadelphia, Chicago, Toronto, Golden State, Sacramento and Charlotte among others.

The sharpshooting veteran averaged 37.6% percent from the three-point range on 860 appearances in the NBA.
