Jayson Tatum agreed on a five-year, $195M contract extension to continue being part of the Boston Celtics’ organization. Tatum will finish out his rookie deal this season and then the extension will kick in.

The All-Star forward had only good things to say about the Celtics, after the team made the deal official. At the same time, general manager Danny Ainge called Tatum one of the best two-way players in the NBA.

Tatum referred to the Celtics’ fan base and how he is planning to stay in Boston for a long time, after signing his max extension.

The All-Star forward averaged 23.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He shot 45.0% from the field, 40.3% from beyond the arc and 81.2% from the free-throw line.
