The Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards recently discussed the possibility of a trade between John Wall and Blake Griffin.

Per Zach Lowe of ESPN, though, the discussions between the two sides had no substantial outcome.

“The Pistons in recent weeks made an exploratory call to the Washington Wizards about a potential swap of Blake Griffin for John Wall, sources said, but Detroit’s real level of interest in that deal is unclear; they value Griffin, and the conversation led nowhere, sources said,” Lowe reports.

Wall, who has three years and $133M left on his current contract with the Wizards, has not played in the league since December of 2018.

For his part, Griffin underwent two knee surgeries last season and averaged career-low numbers with 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
