Denver Nuggets center Bol Bol has agreed to a new two-year, $4.2 million deal with the team, according to Shams Charania.

The Nuggets converted Bol’s two-way contract into a standard contract.

As a rookie last season, Bol only had seven appearances at the NBA level and eight games in the G League.

The 21-year-old flashed his potential in limited action, averaging 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game in the G League and 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds with the Nuggets.

The Nuggets are “excited” about his development this upcoming season, Charania notes.

Backup center Mason Plumlee signed with the Detroit Pistons in free agency, so Bol could potentially slide into his role from last season as Nikola Jokic’s primary backup or even share the floor with him at times.
