The Los Angeles Clippers covered a good number of needs in the offseason so far, by adding Serge Ibaka and Luke Kennard.

However, after keeping Marcus Morris, they still need to address their back-court needs by signing a starting-caliber point guard.

According to Dan Woike of the LA Times, the Clippers haven’t finished yet molding their roster for the 2020/21 campaign. In particular, Woike suggested that ‘a lot of boxes are still unchecked’.

“It’s left people to guess. The Clippers need a point guard, defensive help in the frontcourt, and more leadership. So far, they’ve added shooting and underrated playmaking in Luke Kennard and brought back Marcus Morris, but there are still a lot of boxes left unchecked.

“If you ask around the NBA, people expect the Clippers to have something special up their sleeves. ‘They’ve got to, right?’ one Eastern Conference executive said.”

The signing of Ibaka could be one part of the answer, however the Clippers still have to add a polished play-maker to make things easier for Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
