Free agent Avery Bradley has agreed to a two-year, $11.6 million deal with the Miami Heat, according to Shams Charania.

Bradley was sold on the Heat’s culture, as President Pat Riley and star Jimmy Butler recruited him to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, Charania notes.

The soon-to-be 30-year-old averaged 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 49 games last season and will be a key addition for the Heat as a perimeter defender.

Bradley choosing to sign with the Heat comes after a report stating that his preference was to stay with the Lakers.

He reportedly wanted to re-sign with the Lakers if they offered him a two-year deal, but he ultimately chose to move on.
