Derrick Rose received high praise from the GM of the Golden State Warriors, Bob Myers.
Myers said Rose and Klay Thompson are two of the most popular players in the league and everyone respects them.
“I’ve never met anybody who doesn’t like Klay. … There’s two players in the NBA that everybody likes and respects: Klay Thompson and Derrick Rose.
Those two guys are universally beloved. How your peers feel about you in life says more than anything else,” Myers told reporters, via Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Both Rose and Thompson have dealt with severe injuries over the past few years. Rose has undergone four knee surgeries since winning the NBA MVP award back in 2011.
For his part, Thompson has not played since Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals, due to an ACL tear. On Wednesday, the three-time NBA champion suffered an Achilles tear in his right leg.
