The Boston Celtics did their research on trading for James Harden, but they are not expected to pursue the superstar of the Houston Rockets.

However, the Celtics were ‘strongly advised’ to keep away from trading for Harden, as Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald reports.

Harden seems willing to leave the Rockets and join a top title contender, with the Brooklyn Nets as the favorite to land him and the Philadelphia 76ers also emerging as a candidate.

Harden still has three years and $133M left on his current contract with Houston.
