Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson has suffered a season-ending Achilles tear, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
This will be the second consecutive season Thompson will miss after recovering from a torn ACL last season.
The 30-year-old suffered the torn Achilles in a pickup game in Southern California on Nov. 18.
It’s devastating news for Thompson and the Warriors, as Thompson was said to be at 100 percent for the upcoming season after his ACL injury.
He will be looking to return for the 2021-2022 NBA season at age 31.
The Warriors will likely apply for a disabled player exception, which would be worth about $9.3 million.
