The Denver Nuggets are “clear” frontrunners to sign Real Madrid point guard Facundo Campazzo, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
The Argentine is scheduled to play in a EuroLeague game on Nov. 20, the day that free agency begins, but has indicated for months that he is finally coming to the NBA when the market opens.
Campazzo, 29, who is considered one of the best EuroLeague players, has a buy-out in his contract with Real Madrid worth 6 million euros.
The 5-foot-11 guard started his professional career in 2008 and is currently in his fifth season with Real Madrid.
