The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Al Horford and a first and second round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Danny Green, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 76ers are sending a “lightly-protected” 2025 first round pick and the No. 34 overall pick in tonight’s draft, while also receiving Terrance Ferguson from the Thunder, Wojnarowski notes.

The 76ers are also sending the rights to Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic to the Thunder.

Micic, 26, is currently one of the top guards playing in Europe.

The Thunder now have four picks in tonight’s draft including Nos. 25, 28, 34 and 53.

Green, 33, was recently dealt to the Thunder from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Dennis Schroder.

It was expected that Green would end up elsewhere with the Thunder entering a rebuilding mode.

Green, a solid three-and-D player, gives the 76ers a much needed three-point presence.

Horford, 34, averaged 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last season, but wasn’t the ideal fit with the 76ers.

His contract (owed $27.5 million for the 2020-2021 NBA season) was also a factor in him being traded away, as he was the 76ers’ fourth-highest paid player behind Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, who all have clear roles on the team going forward.
