Dallas Mavericks center Willie Cauley-Stein will decline his $2.29 million player option for the 2020-2021 NBA season and become an unrestricted free agent.

Cauley-Stein signed a two-year deal with the Golden State Warriors last season, but was ultimately dealt to the Mavericks at the trade deadline.

In 54 total games, 41 for the Warriors and 13 for the Mavericks, the 27-year-old averaged 7.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.
