The Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards have discussed a deal centered on Russell Westbrook for John Wall, according to Shams Charania.

However, there’s no traction yet, as the Rockets are seeking more assets.

This would be quite the blockbuster trade if the two teams ultimately were to reach a deal involving the two star point guards.

This move could be an indication that the Wizards are attempting to build up their roster in order to keep star shooting guard Bradley Beal, 27, with the team.

The Wizards are now the third team to be interested in Westbrook, along with the New York Knicks and Charlotte Hornets, who have “verified trade interest in him.”

Westbrook, 32, has been wanting out of Houston and has requested a trade.

Wall, 30, has not played since Dec. 26, 2018 as he continued to recover from a ruptured Achilles tendon, but will be ready for the upcoming season.
