Knicks, Hornets have ‘verified trade interest’ in Russell Westbrook

The New York Knicks and the Charlotte Hornets are the two teams that pursue a trade for Russell Westbrook.

The Knicks and the Hornets are the only teams with ‘verified trade interest’ in the superstar of the Houston Rockets, as Marc Stein of the New York Times reports.

Wesbrook is not happy at Houston and has requested a trade from the Rockets.

Westbrook, who averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and seven assists last season, has three years and $132M left on his current contract.
