Rajon Rondo is expected to receive a significant offer from the Atlanta Hawks, but he remains “focused” on joining the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Frank Isola of SiriusXM NBA Radio.

The significant offer from the Hawks is expected to be $15 million for two years guaranteed, while he could possibly get a mid-level deal from the Clippers.

It was first reported back in October that the Clippers had interest in Rondo when free agency officially opens up.

If Rondo ultimately tests the free agent market, he will decline his $2.7 million option for next season.

The 34-year-old averaged 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game in 16 playoff games for the 2020 NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers are preparing to lose Rondo in free agency, as the team also just acquired point guard Dennis Schroder from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
