During his recent appearance on “The Lowe Post” podcast, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said the Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James’ interest in point guard Dennis Schroder is nothing new, and that the team is a longtime fan too, via Silver Screen and Roll:

“They almost traded for him at the deadline in 2019 and they didn’t. There’s been a lot of interest there for a while. The Lakers have wanted, for a while, to get – and I know they’re very different player – but Rob Pelinka has been very interested in Dennis Schröder and very interested in Derrick Rose …

“LeBron really likes his game. LeBron’s wanted to play with him for a while. Like I said, they almost traded for him before.”

Last season, Schroder averaged 18.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting at 46.9 percent from the floor and 38.5 percent from deep for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
