Former NBA Champion and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins discusses whether the Phoenix Suns are a threat to the top teams in the Western Conference after acquiring All-Star point guard Chris Paul, who still has two seasons left on the four-year, $160 million deal the Houston Rockets gave him in the summer of 2018, from the Oklahoma City Thunder:
“The Phoenix Suns are a threat in the West. They’re going to be a top-five team … and don’t be surprised if they make it to the Western Conference Finals,” Perkins said.
“Deandre Ayton will have his Best season of his career playing with Chris Paul and Devin Booker just might lead the NBA in Scoring. The Suns are a top 5 team in the West!!! Carry on…,” the analyst added.
