After the news that the Los Angeles Lakers have traded veteran swingman Danny Green and the player they select with the 28th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for point guard Dennis Schroder, award-winning journalist, TV host, and author Skip Bayless shared some of his thoughts on the Lakers trading for Schroder:

“I don’t doubt Schröder’s ability to score the basketball, he can score like crazy in ways Rondo can’t. But Rondo is more valuable and I don’t believe the Lakers win the championship without him.”

Last season, Schroder averaged 18.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting at 46.9 percent from the floor and 38.5 percent from three. Meanwhile, Rondo averaged 7.1 points, 3.0 boards, and 5.0 assists per contest, while shooting at 41.8 percent from the field and 32.8 percent from deep.
