The Boston Celtics are interested in selecting RJ Hampton in the upcoming Draft. The promising guard talked on his meeting with the Celtics during his pre-draft media availability session.

The floor-general confirmed the rumors that the Celtics could select him in the Draft by being one of their 10 in-person workouts permitted to teams under the NBA’s restriction protocol.

Hampton is projected as mid to late first round pick in the latest mock draft, according to tankathon.com.

“I think Austin Ainge was there, Danny Ainge was there, and coach Brad Stevens,” he revealed. “I think the conversations went well. I worked out for them — I felt like the Celtics are a great team, a great organization.”

The Celtics are having three first-round selections in this year’s draft with the team looking to potentially move up, according to reports.

The latest rumors suggest that the franchise was pretty active in pursuing a lottery pick. With the draft approaching in few days, the Celtics are still exploring all their options to improve their roster.
