Danilo Gallinari is expected to draw interest in the upcoming free agency. The forward from Italy could potentially be a great addition to any contending roster.

Gallinari’s name has already got connected with several NBA teams with the latest addition being the Dallas Mavericks, according to SNY’s Ian Begley.

“Per sources, some with the Mavericks have interest in pursuing Gallinari. The Mavs reportedly also want to conserve cap space for the summer of 2021. So the franchise would have to weigh that factor in any offers it makes to Gallinari.”

The Mavs went 43-32 and made the playoffs last season after missing out on the postseason in each of the previous three campaigns.

The former Clippers’ forward had a great year in OKC helping the Thunder reach the playoffs, despite having many young unproven players in its roster.

If the rumors are true and the Mavericks are really interested in signing the veteran forward, Gallinari could be a valuable piece alongside the superstar duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

Gallinari averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 2.9 three-pointers made per game. He also shot 43.8 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from long range.
