The NBA G League plans to have its elite Ignite team face G League alumni in closed-door scrimmages, according to Shams Charania.
The scrimmages will take place in Walnut Creek, California on Nov. 15-22 and there will also be two streamed scrimmages in December.
While the 2020-2021 NBA season is set to begin on Dec. 22, it’s still unknown if there will even be a G League season.
Despite this, it still appears that the G League is committed to finding a way for the Ignite team to play games.
Ignite recently announced the addition of five veteran players to the roster along with their six top prospects Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Isaiah Todd, Daishen Nix, Princepal Singh and Kai Sotto.
