The Phoenix Suns unveiled “The Valley” City Edition uniforms, which celebrates the Arizona region, to be worn during the 2020-2021 NBA season.

The uniform “proudly embraces the swagger embodied by the fans and their everlasting passion for their team, their community and their culture. The design is inspired by The Valley’s breathtaking scenery, using stark colors and abstract lines to provide a modern twist,” according to the team.

“The supporters and fans we have are from all over the Valley, so it’s cool to rep them because they rep us, so we’re just trying to go out there and rep everybody,” Suns forward Mikal Bridges said. “The jersey’s really for them. It’s nice for us to have and it looks nice, but it’s really for them.”

The idea for “The Valley” jerseys came before Deandre Ayton and Kelly Oubre Jr. came up with the nickname “Valley Boyz” for the team’s young core of players on a team flight during the 2018-2019 NBA season.
