The new NBA season will begin on December 22, but DeMarcus Cousins may not be available on the opening night, according to Austin Kent of Slam.

Cousins is coming off a left knee injury that cost him his 2019-20 campaign. He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers back in the summer of 2019, but before even the season start he suffered a brutal ACL injury.

Later in the season, the Lakers released the former All-Star in order to acquire Markieff Morris. Cousins is still without a team, but he is definitely going to find a deal if he is healthy.

The big man has career averages of 21.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
