Last season, Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo reportedly asked the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat and New York Knicks if he could join their team.

Oladipo asked some form of the question, “Can I come play with y’all?” in front of his teammates, which drew agitation from them in the locker room, according to J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star.

Aaron Turner, Oladipo’s agent, reportedly didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Oladipo has gained a reputation throughout his career for being moody, as he’ll be positive when things are going well, but has a tendency to point fingers if things are not, Michael also notes.

Despite all of this, it’s unlikely that Oladipo leaves the Pacers this offseason, as the team’s head coaching change has helped “change the tone” for the Pacers, whose front office still has a “good rapport” with him.

The Pacers have had trade discussions with other teams involving Oladipo, but for now, the 28-year-old will likely remain with the team until the 2021 trade deadline.
