The Houston Rockets continue to fill out head coach Stephen Silas’ coaching staff with the addition of two new coaches, Jeff Hornacek and Rick Higgins.

Hornacek has previously coached the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks.

Hornacek, 57, coached the Suns from 2013-2016 where he went 101-112 and then coached the Knicks from 2016-2018 where he went 60-104.

He last coached in the NBA during the 2017-2018 season.

Higgins on the other hand, has been the player development coach for the Orlando Magic since the 2018-2019 NBA season.

He also worked multiple years for the Charlotte Hornets as a coaching assistant/video coordinator and video scout.

Just 33 years old, Higgins is the son of ex-NBA player and general manager Rod Higgins.

The new Rockets staff now includes Hornacek, Higgins and John Lucas, who was a player development coach with the team before being promoted to an assistant.
