The Los Angeles Clippers are close to a deal with Chancey Billups and Larry Drew to join Ty Lue’s coaching staff ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the two coaches are finalizing their contracts to officially become assistant coaches for the LA Clippers.
Billups is expected to take the role of the lead assistant. Both Billups and Drew are going to be part of a huge turnover in the Clippers’ coaching staff.
The former Clippers’ assistant Ty Lue was named new head coach for the organization, after a disappointing appearance in the Orlando “bubble”.
The Clippers were eliminated by the Nuggets in the WC semifinals and decided to part ways with veteran coach Doc Rivers.
