Los Angeles Lakers superstar and newly-crowned NBA champion LeBron James had a hard time understanding the reaction to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s win over the Clemson Tigers on Saturday.
The No.1 ranked Tigers owned a regular-season winning streak that dated back to 2017 and their loss was a huge deal in that regard. But Notre Dame fans and players alike seemed a bit too excited in their celebrations, which saw the former rush onto the field to revel in the victory, completely disregarding safety protocols.
“So itās ok for fans to storm the field but not ok at the same time to have fans??? Iām confused,” King James tweeted.
Former NBA star Baron Davis responded to James’ tweet, asking the 2020 Finals MVP to go easy on the fans, who he hopes will be ok.
“Thatās my squad bro. Give us a pass. We got lucky clovers, we gon be alright ….. I hope. Smh,” Davis wrote.
