The Philadelphia 76ers confirmed the hiring of Daryl Morey as president of basketball operations of the organization.
Morey has agreed to a five-year deal and he will be introduced on Monday afternoon, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Morey spent 14 years with the Houston Rockets as GM, but decided to leave the team a few weeks ago.
Morey, Elton Brand and new head coach Doc Rivers want to make the Sixers a top title contender next season.
