Fenerbahce used its ferocious defense in the second half to take down Maccabi Tel Aviv (65-75) in Menora Mivtachim Arena and put a stop in their three-game losing streak on EuroLeague’s regular season.

The club from Turkey allowed just 11 points in the fourth quarter with Ali Muhammed and Dyshawn Pierrie pushing Fenerbahce to a 4-13 run and an 11-point (58-69) lead, with 5:27 remaining in regulation.

Maccabi made an attempt to get back into the game with Wilbekin, who had a game-high 23 points, propelling his team back to a six-point deficit (63-69, 3:07), before Jan Vesely and Nando De Colo put an end to the home team’s hopes.

For Kososkov’s side, Ali Muhammad had 17 points making 5-out-of-6 attempts from the three-point distance, while De Colo and Jarell Eddie added 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Fener snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 3-3, while Maccabi Tel Aviv dropped to 2-4.
