The Indiana Pacers and new head coach Nate Bjorkgren are interested in adding former NBA All-Star Danny Manning to the team’s staff, according to Marc Stein.

Manning finished his NBA career with averages of 14.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists with the Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons.

Manning had previously coached in the NCAA on Tulsa (two seasons) and Wake Forest (six seasons). He has a total record of 116 wins and 140 losses in the collegiate level.

He was a two-time NBA All-Star and winner of the sixth-man of the year in 1998 with the Suns. Bjorkgren replaced Nate McMillan, who was fired by the Pacers early in August.

McMillan parted ways with the organization, after the Pacers failed to make it out of the first round of the playoffs for the third time in the last three seasons.
